LinkedIn, Relationships, and Backlinks… What do they have in common?
You may be using LinkedIn to build valuable connections within a specific industry, or you may be using LinkedIn to post inspirational quotes. Hopefully, you’re using LinkedIn properly, and you’re building connections with people in a niche industry you plan to be involved with in the future and present.
In the eyes of the Google Search Index Spiders, backlinking is simply building valuable connections with trusted, niche websites that are related to your own.
This not only helps searchers find the right answers to the questions they are looking for but also saves times for Google as well.
Nobody wants to spend time building connections with untrusted sources!
What is a Backlink?
The quick answer is, a backlink is simply a link headed to your website from another website that is not yours.
What is a good Backlink?
A quality backlink is a good backlink. Just like good connections on LinkedIn, it’s all about quality, not quantity.
I guess you could say the same thing goes for life. But, to get back on track, a backlink has more value when it comes from a niche site, relevant to your own. The more relevant, trusted, and legitimate backlinks your site has, the higher it will rank on a Google SERP. Build connections with quality, valuable sites and you will hopefully drive engagement through appearing higher on consumers searches and be viewed as a valid option for everyone’s most valid question – “can I trust them?”
